Fractal Quilts

The quilt below was made by Jerry Church of Clarksville, TN, from a fractal of mine.

A FRACTION OF A FRACTAL

I knew nothing of Fractals and had not met Connie Livingston-Dunn, but the first time I saw her Rainbow Bridge Fractal, the word "quilt" popped into my mind.  I feel very honored that Connie allowed me to attempt to convert a portion of her fascinating Fractal to my favorite medium- fabric.

I am a lifelong Clarksville resident and love the colors, textures and versatility of fibers and fabrics.  Even though I am new to the Fractal quilting world, (yes, there are more of us), I find that there is a challenge in combining my love for  quilting, paper piecing, reverse applique, color  and fabric selection with the imagination and expertise of Connie's whimsical irresistable Fractal prints.

I will gladly leave the mathematical Fractal imaging to Connie and hope that she will allow me to again interpret a tiny portion of her Fractal world in my own way.
